Blekinge Offshore AB
VindIn, is a wind power company formed by a series of heavy and reputable operators in the electricity-intensive industry: Boliden, AGA, BillerudKorsnäs, Stora Enso, Cementation, Holmen, Akzo Nobel and LKAB. Each year these players in the mining and forestry, steel and chemical industries, total over 20 TWh. This represents about 15 percent of Sweden’s electricity consumption.
The purpose of VindIn is that with self-owned production assure the owner companies of a stable supply of electricity at reasonable prices, which play a crucial role in basic industry opportunities to assert itself in the global competition.
VindIn considers that Blekinge Offshore with its unique conditions has very good potential for realization and volume gives a significant energyproduction.
This provides favorable conditions for long-term predictable electricity prices, increased security of electricity supply, reduced environmental impact, increased competitiveness, which secures jobs.
Eolus Vind AB, which at its inception in 1990 was Sweden’s first commercial wind power developer and is now one of the country’s leading companies in the industry. Of the approximately 2500 Swedish wind turbines available today, Elous Wind AB has established about 420 plants.
Some of these wind power plants the company operates in-house, others are turnkey project designs for clients.
Vingkraft AB is the third Blekinge Offshore partner, who also took the original initiative for the project in 2008. The company has a genuine local presence based in Solvesborg municipality, Blekinge.
